You have until April 30th to go under contract and close on the property by June 30th. That means you need to get and see some properties this weekend. I’m not going to sit here and say that 8 grand will change your life but if you’re just about to pull the trigger now is the time to act. If you see a property, your numbers line up, and it makes sense for you, take the next step.

On a typical condo in Bridgewater, NJ in the middle 250-325K price range the tax credit is basically a 5% reduction on the current asking price. So if you place an offer on a property for a little less than list PLUS you get this credit you’re looking a big gap between the list and sold price.
