The purpose of posting this shows the importance of doing your homework when it comes to who you pick for your real estate “team.” Before I bought my condo the best advice I received was that you need a solid team behind you to make your experience smooth. The team includes: The Real Estate Agent, Attorney, Home Inspector, and a mortgage broker.

As your real estate agent I show you the relevant properties. Make the offer, work out all the problems, and get you into your dream place. Having a top notch agent with a winning company behind them will make your condo buying process easy.

Your attorney is your best source for any questions about the ins and outs of closing dates, locations, and getting you in and out of attorney review.

The home inspector will make sure everything in your new place is wonderful and if not make suggestions on how to fix them. When I used my inspector for my condo he found 2 or 3 small things which more than made up for the fee that was charged.

Last but not least, your mortgage broker. This part of your team makes sure you can afford your dream home. They will get you pre-qualified to know what you can afford and then walk you through the loan process.

This is such a high level view of the process but I can’t stress enough how much this advice helped me land my first place. With this knowledge I hope it lands your first place.
